“Niels Stokholm is one of the most idealistic farmers in Denmark. He runs a biodynamic farm with his wife, Rita. Biodynamics is a spiritual-ethical-ecological approach to agriculture, food production and nutrition and from their farm Niels and Rita distribute products to some of the best restaurants in the world. However not everyone is fond of their holistic methods. When authorities and bureaucracy threaten to close down the farm documentary maker Phie Ambo respectfully follows their struggle to make sure that they are amongst the first as opposed to the last to approach agriculture the way they do.”
We will using the stall to promote Leeds Friends of the Earth’s work on the Friends of the Earth (FOE) Bee Cause campaign – highlighting what we are doing locally and discussing how alternative farming methods, as shown in “Good Things Await” can help wildlife flourish, rather than damaging it like conventional, intensive farming methods.
We will also be providing information about other FOE campaigns on the stall (e.g. Fracking, Run on Sun), in order to show the breadth of work that FOE does.
If you would like to help out on the stall (No previous experience necessary!), please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org
